The Sea Star

Clean, current, and classic. The Sea Star is a shining star among rentals. It was well designed for 6 professional adults to enjoy our stay. We all thought how we could incorporate our grandchildren easily into the bunk room! Very nicely equipped and the staff at Signature Properties, especially Julie, were spot on. It was a great experience all the way around.

Wonderful stay in Gulf Shores for Fall break. Property is accurately described in listing. Home is updated and tastefully decorated. The porch overlooking the gulf is fabulous. We enjoyed coffee in the mornings and dinner in the evenings on the deck! Management company communicated via text and timely with a minor issue we had upon arrival.

I can’t say enough about how nice this stay was for our family of 6 plus our “granny nanny.” From the outdoor shower to the composite wood lighted steps and deck and deck furniture to the great room with comfy furniture and really attractive lighting options to the spotless, well-supplied kitchen to the smart TVs in every room, the 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom (plus another bathroom shared by the other 2 bedrooms and open to the hallway)—it just was so comfortable for everyone. It definitely felt like a getaway for our family. It’s located in a stretch of beach pretty distant from the condo towers so there was plenty of room on the beach to spread out and have space. The bedrooms and bathrooms are on the small side, but everything is perfectly functional and comfortable. The property management was excellent and accommodating with great, unsolicited offers for help and simple instructions. We will definitely look up this property for our next beach trip.

The Sea Star is in a great location and has a spectacular view! We drove in from the Pensacola airport and it was a very easy drive. The house has all the rooms on one floor which we appreciated - no carrying your luggage up multiple flights of stairs. Being on the beach is a must for us and The Sea Star did not disappoint!

Sea Star was a perfect place to spend an extra long weekend with friends. The house was great and was everything it was advertised to be. The location away from the main public beaches was perfect. The property managers were very attentive and were quick to fix a small issue of a tripped breaker. My friends and I definitely hope to come back again next summer.

This is our second time staying at this rental property and we were so pleasantly surprised that it was recently renovated. The home was fully furnished and in a great location. The only downside was that people from across the street would try to go through the property gate to get access to the beach. Renters should probably not allow public access. Also, be sure to bring your own beach towels, trash bags, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent.

This home was beautiful, well maintained, and a view that is second to none. The large, open living, dining, and kitchen provided a lot of space for our entire group to hangout comfortably. The back deck was a hit when taking a break from the sand and for watching the stars in the night sky. We loved everything about this home. If I had one suggestion, it would be a hook on the door to hang a make-up bag, towel, or clothes on when showering in the back left bathroom and maybe a rug just inside the door into the main living area. Those things definitely did not break the deal. This home would be one we would rent again.

This may be the nicest house we have used in gulf shores, from the home itself to the cleanliness and overall experience. The management company was very good- everything layed out in advance and very responsive. We partially chose this house for the porch, which didn’t disappoint. Partially shaded and partially sunny, so that we could adjust during the day. Kitchen was very good for preparing meals. Close to everything, but far enough for the beach to be uncrowded.

We had a wonderful time at our stay in the house. The house is beautifully updated. It had plenty of room for our family. The property manager was very easy to work with. They were always there to help if we needed them.

The home was newly renovated and very nice! We really loved the Trek deck and the location is awesome. A plus-there is no beach access for people from across the street. You get to enjoy your "Personal" beach. Also, the beds were very comfortable.

Our vacation rental was great. The house was beautiful and the view from the deck wS spectacular. The beach was right outside our door. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well supplied with everything we needed. We will be back

House fit 2 families adequately with great views of the gulf.

Twenty something years ago my husband and I rented this house along with the first two grandchildren. Last July my husband was in the hospital having had heart valve replacement so while I was sitting in the room with him, I found the same house to rent in May of 2022. I call the grands and they took the time to take off work. We recreated some of the past pictures with todays pics and had the best time. We cooked at the house and went out to eat at the Colbalt which was expensive and not a good selection of fish.

We had a wonderful time. The property was as described, clean and well stocked. Management was very helpful. Would definitely stay again and hope we get the opportunity to do so.

The Cocoa Cobana beach house was exceptionally clean and tidy upon arrival. The door keypad was extremely easy to use. The online property listing was described very accurately. The property manager was very responsive. When a smoke detector battery needed replacing, maintenance arrived shortly after I notified the property manager. All the appliances as well as the Wi-Fi functioned properly. The bed was comfortable. The A/C functioned well. We had a totally unobstructed view of the ocean and beachfront. The ocean was just a few feet from our front door and deck. The beach house and beach location were ideal and very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and spent a lot of time on the deck as well as the beach. The property surpassed our expectations, and we plan to return, hopefully to the same property.

For safety, we loved that the only entrance to the house was beachside. The property manager was incredibly friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend this for your next trip!

The location was very nice: close to shopping and restaurants, but it was still quiet and not crowded. We all enjoyed sitting on the deck at night looking at the sky and hearing the waves while we visited with family. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand and the water and looking for sea shell. Also, some of us saw a large group of stingrays right near the shore. Enjoyed nearby restaurants and a dolphin cruise.

This was our second stay at Cocoa Cabana. We enjoyed it so much the first time last year, we decided to come back again for family vacation 2021. The house has been newly renovated. We enjoyed the extra full bath giving the house 3 master suites. The only downside was that there was zero storage in the newly renovated master bath. Hopefully in the off season, they can make some changes there. I had to keep everything for the bathroom on top of the dresser in the bedroom, or hanging on the back on the bathroom door. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming again next year.

Thank you for sharing Cocoa’s Cabana with us. We loved the location, view, short walk to the beach, and the open floor plan of the house. The beds were comfy and the kitchen allowed us to easily prepare all of our meals.

The location of the property couldn't be better - it's located between public beach access points so the beach was relatively quiet. Great views from the deck and we sat out there every night. Some parts of the house have been renovated and are very nice. Each room was decorated nicely. Well stocked kitchen with anything you need for cooking. Lots of beach toys on the property. We would stay here again in a heart beat if we go back to Gulf Shores.

Only thing I would note is like other reviewers, the top part of the deck needs to be replaced and is uneven with nails sticking out. There's a board sticking up right next to the dining table that several of our family members kept tripping on. The top deck railing has large gaps that my 2yr old almost fell through and kept trying to climb through. The new part of the deck has better spacing of rails and is safer. Not sure why they didn't fix the old deck when the lower part was replaced.

It would be great if they could get a gas grill on the top deck like the surrounding houses. The charcoal grill is in the car port and was not in great condition. It would also be great if they could get some serving platters and non-breakable cups/plates (especially given the uneven boards near the outdoor dining table).

Great house, great beach, great location

It was beyond perfect. Great location. Clean and updated interior and steps away from the beach. Absolutely loved it. If we come back - this is where we are staying!

Had a great time here. The refrigerator needs to be replaced. When you shut the freezer door the refrigerator door pops open. When you shut the refrigerator door, the freezer door pops open. No good seal on either. Porch wood floor near the entrance needs to be replaced or the nails hammered down. Sandals are a must in this area. But all in all, it wasn't the discrepancies that mattered. It was the time spent with loved ones at the perfect location.

We could not have asked for a better stay here. The house is perfectly nestled on the beach with just a short walk to the water, the deck was a huge hit and gathering place for the entire family, the house was clean and well equipped with everything we could have needed, the house well accommodated an age range from toddler, teenager, to adult. We look forward to booking this house again.

We had a great time!

We had 2 families w 7 kids and had plenty of space. There is a 3rd bathroom which we didn’t see in the photos or description so both sets of parents go their own which was nice.
The house is clean, updated and the back porch leads straight to the beach. We spent pretty much every day we could at the beach and had a blast, easy to get in/out and shallow enough the younger kids could swim even when it was choppy.
Property mgr was very helpful and fixed internet issues immediately.
I would def consider coming back and would recommend this property to anyone who asks.

Cocoa’s Cabana was such a good fit for our family. Great location . Beach was not crowded as the property is between the public access points ( about a half mile on each side) . We utilized the outdoor area more than anything . It had The best view and comfortable seating for dining or lounging . The kitchen was well stocked , which was great as we cooked all meals , avoiding restaurant crowds . The property management service was quick to handle the one issue we had on arrival( two tv’s wouldn’t work and WiFi not connected but they had a tech out within the next day, fixed everything no problem . We really enjoyed this property and hope to return to it .

We loved the view from the deck. It's just as the pictures show. We stayed out on the deck for hours looking at the beach!

Very clean and updated. The deck is amazing because it’s partially covered with outdoor dining table and plenty of chairs and loungers. Had our door shower below with several kids toys etc left for other guests to use. Views were amazing in the evening.

We loved our stay at Cocoa’s Cabana! It had everything we needed including a well stocked kitchen and beach toys for the kids. Beautiful beach sunsets. The only downside was having to leave. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great stay at Cocoa's Cabana. It's a lot of space in a little package! It was so comfortable and homey my daughter wanted to move there. Steps from the beach and a short drive to anywhere you want to go. We would definitely stay there again.

The house was absolutely perfect for our family. Great location that was directly on the beach. Close to anything you would like to do including food, shops and games. We stayed pretty much quarantined at the house which we couldn’t of picked a better spot. It was clean, spacious and had awesome views. The management was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Easy to get in touch with and provided us with everything we needed. We will definitely be going back

The house fit all of our needs. It was in a great location and it was peaceful we had plenty of privacy. The house was clean and the kitchen was adequately stocked. Management was friendly and helpful in locating a pool for the kids to go swimming.

It would be advisable to provide cleaning products such as dish detergent, cleaning sprays, sponges, rags, etc. Spices besides salt and pepper are also a nice addition. It was a very roomy house with a great beachfront and lovely deck.

Our family has rented beach houses for a number of years. This Beachhouse was by far the best. It was clean it was roomy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The covered and uncovered deck was perfect. Plenty of seating and easy access to the beach. The one bonus was dolphins every morning and every evening right interview in near where we were swimming. Will definitely rent this Beachhouse again.

I my family and I have rented beach homes for our summer vacations and Cocoa Cabana was by the best. The house was decorated so beautifully with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. We were close to shopping and restaurants. Just steps from the beach where we saw dolphins daily. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Cocoa's Cabana for family vacation this year. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and two children. The main living space is open and has plenty of sitting and room. The house is so tastefully decorated and you can tell it has been renovated recently. The kitchen was very well equipped for a vacation rental. The beds were also super comfy. The beach was 100 feet away-perfect if you are traveling with small children.

Cocoa’s Cabana was an amazing place to stay at in Gulf Shores. We were so close to bars and restaurants and the deck is absolutely amazing. Everyone was really easy to work with and very accommodating. Highly recommend.

This updated house was everything we expected and more. Sleeping and dining arrangements were great. The best part about the house is the deck and the short walk to the beach. Resort Realty did an excellent job with customer service.
